Services provided through the café will move to alternate locations for users.

Over the last three years, the café has worked closely with partners to build long-lasting relationships that have benefitted the young people of Warrington and their families through a wide range of accessible services that provide positive outcomes for young people.

Following the office move:

  • CAMH’S Mindworks drop-in service (Supporting Young people’s Mental Health) will move to The Gateway, on Sankey Street.
  • Young people will still be able to access support from our youth workers within Connect at The Gateway in partnership with AXess Warrington’s Sexual Health Service. This will include young people’s advice and information support and signposting to services, such as drug and alcohol screening and advice.
  • TAGS LGBT+ Youth Groups will be moving to Bank Park. The cafe offer run in partnership with Willow Green SEND College has moved over to Westy Children’s Centre on a Friday serving a variety of healthy hot food options.

The timetable for youth services will be officially launched in March 2020 which will have details about all other services and their new locations.

The council has worked hard to ensure that the support and services the café brings are still readily available for the young people of Warrington, and is working closely with the café users to ensure they know where and how to access those services.

The Youth Café will be having a goodbye showcase for parents, professionals and young people who used is services on 14 February at 3.30pm. From 5pm the youth users will have a celebration for the time they have spent at the youth café and used its services.
