Details of the homecoming parade for our Wembley winners

Warrington Wolves will enjoy a homecoming parade on Monday (26 August) following today’s historic Challenge Cup triumph over St Helens at Wembley Stadium.

An open-top bus will carry the victorious Wire squad through the town to a reception on the steps of Warrington Town Hall facing the lawn.

The procession route has been designed to give supporters the best-possible vantage points as the bus makes its way around and across the town centre.

Route and approximate timings are as follows:

12.30pm – Bus departs from Manchester Road Woolston

1pm – Manchester Road/Holes Lane

1.20pm – Manchester Road/King Edward Street

1.26pm – Manchester Road/Padgate Lane

1.30pm – Town Centre – Church Street, Buttermarket Street, Academy Street, Friars Gate, Barbauld Street. Wilson Patten Street, Winmarleigh Street, Sankey Street

2pm – Arrival at Town Hall

A number of phased road closures will be in operation during the parade.
