Ryan Jameson, 28, of Grange Avenue, Latchford, Warrington, has been found guilty of a fly-tipping offence under the Environmental Protection Act 1990.

The financial penalty was £350 at Warrington Magistrates Court on Wednesday 31 July. The conviction was the result of a complaint received about 40 bags of fly tipped waste on private land. The council attended the scene and on searching the waste found that it originated from Mr Jameson.

Mr Jameson was invited to attend an interview under caution, but he didn’t respond. When attending court he pleaded guilty to the offences.

Cllr Judith Guthrie, Cabinet Member for Environment and Public Protection said: “This is another successful conviction of a fly-tipping offence in Warrington.

“Fly-tipping not only blights our environment, but impacts on our communities. Illegally disposing of waste is unacceptable and we will take action against people who fail to dispose of their waste using the proper methods.”
